COMMUNITY AMBULETTE

Keren Yosef donated four special “Chessed on Wheels" ambulettes which are operated by the Bet Shemesh Ezrat Achim organization. The ambulettes were donated in memory of our founder Mrs. Doris Mainzer z”l.

The ambulettes are specialized vans which serve the residents of Beit Shemesh, Ramat Beit Shemesh and the area with a several times dialy shuttle service from Beit Shemsh to the Jerusalem hospitals and back.

This service allows ill, elderly and wheelbound people, chemotherapy and dialysis patients and their families, to get to the hospital for treatment and back. They are also used for a wide range of Chessed activities in Beit Shemesh and beyond.

TESTIMONIALS

“My mother was diagnosed with cancer and needed to have chemotherapy and radiation at Hadassah hospital. Getting to the hospital is very difficult, even if you go by car – the gas is expensive, and the parking at the hospital is very expensive, and driving there takes a lot of time with challenging traffic.

I heard of Keren Yosef’s and called them to see if they could help us with transportation. They have been amazing! They helped us get to and from the hospital, sometimes once a week and sometimes more, the service is wonderful and so convenient, the drivers are terrific, it is so accessible and they are always willing to help.

I saw many other people helped by this service. It is a big Mitzvah, what they do.”
